Addis Ababa, 21 November 2017: The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat, welcomes the decision by President Robert Mugabe to step down from his position as Head of State following a lifetime of service to the Zimbabwean nation. 

Washington, USA – 16 November 2017: A high level delegation from the African Union (AU) Commission, participated in the 5th annual African Union Commission (AUC) / United States High Level Dialogue held on 16 November 2017 in Washington. Key note discussants from the AU side were H.E Amb. Smail Chergui, Commissioner for Peace and Security; H.E Amb. Minata Samate Cessouma , Commissioner for Political Affairs and H.E Prof. Sarah Anyang Agbor, Commissioner for Human Resources Science and Technology.

Washington, USA 15 November 2017 – H.E Moussa Faki Mahamat, Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), on 15 November 2017, met with Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Head of Mission and African Ambassadors Group while on his first official visit to Washington DC, since he became Chairperson of the AU Commission. During the meeting which took place at the conference room of the AU Mission to Washington dubbed “Africa House”, Chairperson Faki urged the Ministers and Ambassadors to speak with one voice while defending the cause of Africa abroad.
