Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina Faso, 6 February 2016:- The official closing ceremony of the 7th PATTEC training course on Planning and Execution of PATTEC Projects took place at Ecole de Lutte Anti-Tsetse (ELAT), Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina Faso on 6th February 2016. The training course had been jointly organized by the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) and the African Union Commission through the PATTEC Coordination Office.

Addis Ababa, 8 February 2016: Following an invitation from the Government of the Republic of Niger, the Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), Her Excellency Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, has approved the deployment of an African Union Short-Term Election Observation (STO) Mission to the Republic of Niger’s General Elections 28 February 2016.

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, 8 February 2016: The Commissioner for Human Resources, Science and Technology, H.E. Dr. Martial De-Paul Ikounga met with a Special envoy of the President of Iran to discuss areas of potential cooperation between the African Union and Iran. The meeting took place on 29 January 2016, at the headquarters of the African Union Commission in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on the sidelines of the 26th Ordinary Summit of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government.

Addis Ababa, 8 February 2016: Following an invitation from the Government of the Republic of Uganda, the Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), Her Excellency Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, has approved the deployment of an African Union Short-Term Election Observation (STO) Mission to the Republic of Uganda’s Presidential, Parliamentary and Local Council Elections scheduled for 18 February 2016.
