H.E. @ymahmoudali, Chairperson of the AU Commission, convened RECs, RMs & AUDA-NEPAD, urging enhanced coordination with the AUC & among RECs. He affirmed that RECs/RMs are pillars of the Union & essential for integration, peace & resilience.
Amid global shocks, he called for unified, strategic action, stressing that peace underpins development. Africa’s G20 engagement, he noted, must be cohesive, underscoring the shift from parallel efforts to joint leadership to deepen AU–RECs collaboration to shape Africa’s future together.

The Chairperson of the AU Commission H.E. @ymahmoudali received H.E. Mr. Miguel Bembe, Ambassador of the Republic of Angola & Permanent Representative to the AU.

Ambassador Bembe conveyed, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Angola, a formal invitation from His Excellency President João Lourenço to the Chairperson to attend the upcoming U.S.-Africa Summit, scheduled for 22 June 2025. He further informed the Chairperson of preparations for the High-Level Infrastructure Summit, to be hosted under the auspices of President Lourenço on 13–14 October 2025, in Luanda.
