AU redeploys observers to Liberia’s Presidential Runoff Election scheduled on 26 December 2017
Addis Ababa, 25 December 2017: As Liberia heads for a presidential runoff election on 26 December 2017, the Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), H.E. Moussa Faki Mahamat, has approved the re-deployment of African Union (AU) observers to observe the conduct of the election. The AU observers has been redeployed to the country from 23 to 31 December 2017.

He congratulates the parties on this important step in the search for a peaceful solution to their dispute.
