H.E President William Samoei Ruto (PhD), President of the Republic of Kenya and the African Union Champion on Institutional Reform. H.E. Ruto was appointed during the 37th Assembly of Heads of State and Government in February 2024 to champion the AU Institutional Reform process taking over from the H.E Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda who led the implementation of the reform process since 2016.

DECLARATION PRELIMINAIRE
We look back to the year 2015 with pride at the milestones we have achieved, prompted by the declaration of the “Year of Women’s Empowerment for the Realization of African Agenda 2063”. We undertook several interventions towards the empowerment of women and girls, with the African Union (AU), the Regional Economic Communities (RECs) member states and all other sectors working together to deliver on this noble goal.

The Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), Dr.Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, congratulates the people of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) under the leadership of the Polisario Front for the successful convening of the 14th Polisario Front Congress held inDakhlarefugee camps.
The African Union congratulates H.E. Mohamed Abdelaziz for his re-election as Secretary General of the Polisario Front, and President of SADR.
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – 29 December 2015: The Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), H.E Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, has expressed satisfaction following the recent announcement by the World Health Organisation (WHO), certifying Guinea Conakry as Ebola-Free. This victory over the killer disease comes after Liberia and Sierra Leone had been declared free of the Ebola virus by the WHO. The Ebola pandemic has killed about 11.400 persons in the affected West African countries since 2014.
Les membres du G8: Union africaine (UA), Nations Unies (UN), Union Européenne (UE), Communauté Economique des Etats de l’Afrique Centrale (CEEAC), Etats Unis, France, Banque Mondiale et Médiation, se sont réunis à Bangui, capitale de la République Centrafricaine dans le cadre des élections présidentielle et législatives prévues le 30 décembre 2015.
A cette occasion, les membres du G8 se félicitent du climat de paix qui prévaut dans le pays et de l’esprit consensuel qui anime les différents acteurs impliqués dans le processus.
