Chairperson of the ‪@AUCommission‬ H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, concluded a productive mission to Baghdad where he was invited to participate at the 34th Arab Summit. In Baghdad, he was graciously received by H.E. Abdul Latif Rashid, President of the Republic of Iraq, at the Presidential Palace.

On the margins of the Summit, he held constructive engagements with H.E. Antonio Guterres, Secretary-General of the UN; H.E. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of Arab League; H.E. Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary-General of the GCC; & H.E. Hissein Brahim Taha, Secretary-General of the @OIC_OCI, & with the ministers from GCC Member States, reaffirming the AU's commitment to deepening strategic partnerships, & advancing multilateral cooperation, & promoting sustainable development, peace, & security across our shared regions.
