It is the strategic framework for delivering on Africa’s goal for inclusive and sustainable development and is a concrete manifestation of the pan-African drive for unity, self-determination, freedom, progress and collective prosperity pursued under Pan-Africanism and African Renaissance.
H.E President William Samoei Ruto (PhD), President of the Republic of Kenya and the African Union Champion on Institutional Reform. H.E. Ruto was appointed during the 37th Assembly of Heads of State and Government in February 2024 to champion the AU Institutional Reform process taking over from the H.E Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda who led the implementation of the reform process since 2016.

The Pan African University (PAU) is an initiative of the Heads of State and Government of the African Union. It is a Premier continental university network whose mission is to provide quality postgraduate education geared towards the achievement of a prosperous, integrated and peaceful Africa.
From 2014 to date, PAU issued 2549 certificates. This involves 856 females and 1693 males from 50 Members States.
The African Union Commission deployed a Humanitarian Assessment Team composed of humanitarian experts voluntarily nominated by Member States, and led by H.E. Amb. Amma A. Twum-Amoah, Commissioner for Health, Humanitarian Affairs, and Social Development, and H.E. Amb.

1. It gives me great pleasure to welcome you all to this Technical Session of the First Africa Biodiversity Summit, here in our beautiful Botswana.
At the invitation of H.E. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, Chairperson of the African Union Commission, joined world leaders yesterday evening for the inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum — the largest museum in the world dedicated to ancient Egyptian civilization.
The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, H.E. Mr. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, takes note of the announcement of the results of the presidential election in the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire and extends his congratulations to His Excellency Mr. Alassane Ouattara on his re-election.
The Chairperson commends the participation of the Ivorian people in the electoral process, as well as the efforts undertaken by the competent institutions to ensure the conduct of the vote. He encourages all political and social actors to continue their commitment to peace, dialogue and national cohesion.
The African Union Commission (AUC) convened the Sixth Ordinary Session of the Specialized Technical Committee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Water and Environment (STC-ARDWE) at its Headquarters in Addis Ababa. The event took place from 21-24 October 2025.
