It is the strategic framework for delivering on Africa’s goal for inclusive and sustainable development and is a concrete manifestation of the pan-African drive for unity, self-determination, freedom, progress and collective prosperity pursued under Pan-Africanism and African Renaissance.
H.E President William Samoei Ruto (PhD), President of the Republic of Kenya and the African Union Champion on Institutional Reform. H.E. Ruto was appointed during the 37th Assembly of Heads of State and Government in February 2024 to champion the AU Institutional Reform process taking over from the H.E Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda who led the implementation of the reform process since 2016.

A high-level delegation of the African Union Commission (AUC), deployed by H.E Moussa Faki Mahamat, has wrapped up its working visit to the seat of the Pan-African Parliament in Midrand, South Africa.
The Africa Climate Week 2021 (ACW 2021) Virtual Thematic Sessions took place from 26-29 September 2021 with calls to climate action from leading voices from across the African continent. Preparations are underway to convene Africa’s Summit on Industrialization and Economic Diversification, scheduled to be held on the 19th to the 24th of November 2021 in Niamey, Niger.
The Chairperson also expressed his well wishes to the AU team in the United Arab Emirates, who are assigned to represent the Commission and the continent at the world Expo.
