Agenda 2063 is the blueprint and master plan for transforming Africa into the global powerhouse of the future. It is the strategic framework for delivering on Africa’s goal for inclusive and sustainable development and is a concrete manifestation of the pan-African drive for unity, self-determination, freedom, progress and collective prosperity pursued under Pan-Africanism and African Renaissance.

H.E President William Samoei Ruto (PhD), President of the Republic of Kenya and the African Union Champion on Institutional Reform. H.E. Ruto was appointed during the 37th Assembly of Heads of State and Government in February 2024 to champion the AU Institutional Reform process taking over from the H.E Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda who led the implementation of the reform process since 2016.

The Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), His Excellency Moussa Faki Mahamat, has decided the deployment of the African Union Election Observation Mission (AUEOM) to the 23 October 2019 General Elections in the Republic of Botswana.
The AeTrade initiative aims to create 600,000 SMEs which will in turn create 22 million jobs. The Host Agreement was signed by the AeTrade and the Government of Eswatini on the 4th October 2019 at Mandvulo Grand Hall at Ezulwini.
AfroChampions Initiative and African Union open consultations to elaborate a platform to support AfCFTA-enabling projects across Africa
The African Union Election Observation Mission (AUEOM) to the Republic of Mozambique held a press conference to release its preliminary assessment and conclusions on the conduct of the 15 October 2019 Presidential, Legislative and Provincial Elections. The Press Conference was addressed by H.E. Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, Head of the African Union Election Observation Mission to Mozambique, and Former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The maiden Pan African Conference on Children and Armed Conflict commenced today in Addis Ababa at the UN Conference Center. The three-day conference brought together children from Mali, South Sudan, Nigeria, Ethiopia and the Democratic Republic of Congo to demand immediate and specific actions from decision-makers on the continent to address their plight and fashion-out mechanisms for better protection of children affected by armed conflict and war in Africa.
