The AU Commission Chairperson Calls for Coherence and Synergy Between AU and RECs
Tunis, Tunisia, April 29, 2019: In line with the African Union’s (AU) efforts to ensure that member states are fully involved in its work and to enhance the collaboration between the Permanent Representatives’ Committee (PRC) and the African Union Commission (AUC), the 8th Joint Retreat of the PRC-AUC commenced today in Tunis.

African Union Launches the Transitional Justice Policy
Sharm el Sheikh, 25 April 2019: The African Union Commission (AUC) launches the African Union Transitional Justice Policy (AUTJP) at the 64th Ordinary Session of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights. The policy was recently adopted by the Heads of State and Government at the 32nd Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the Union on 12 February 2019 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Addis Ababa, 25 April 2019. The African Union celebrates with the international community the World Malaria Day today under the theme “Zero Malaria Starts with Me”.
African Union considers the World Malaria Day an opportunity to highlight the need for continued investment and sustained political commitment to malaria prevention and control, and, therefore, advocates for an increase in external and domestic funding for malaria elimination; and increased awareness and ownership at the community level.
