Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, 24 november 2016 _ Officials from the African Union (AU), the NEPAD Agency and the African Development Bank (AfDB) today reaffirmed their commitment to ensure employment opportunities are included in infrastructure project design to create inclusive growth and sustainable development in Africa.

The pledge was made at the closing ceremony of the second annual Programme for Infrastructure Development (PIDA) Week in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – 26 November 2016: The Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), H.E. Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma expressed deep sadness and extended her condolences to the Castro family, the people of Cuba and the progressive forces of the world upon having received the news of the passing of former Cuban President Fidel Castro.
“President Castro was a liberation icon, a true revolutionary and internationalist, who assisted in the liberation and socio economic development of Africa and the developing world”, said Her Excellency, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma.

AFCON: AUC Chairperson visits Cameroon to encourage women footballers

Yaounde 24 November 2016 - The Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), H.E. Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma paid a brief working visit to Cameroon on 24th November 2016. The AUC and her delegation arrived the Yaounde Nsimalen International airport in the early hours of 24 November 2016. Her visit is in honour of an invitation by the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF), requesting her presence for the 10th edition of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations that kicked off on November 19 in Cameroon.
