Addis Ababa, 21 March 2025 – The Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), H.E. Mahamoud Ali Youssouf, commends the important role played by the Luanda Process, facilitated under the leadership of His Excellency João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, President of the Republic of Angola, and the African Union Chairperson.

The Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, led by the Ministry of Women, Family and Children (MFFE), in collaboration with the African Union International Centre for Girls and Women's Education in Africa (AU CIEFFA) and ZaZou Plus Group, organised a parallel event in margins of the 69th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69) under the theme: “30 years on, women's rights: Assessment and case studies”.

The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, concluded an official visit to the Republic of Angola from 18 to 19 March 2025, during which he met with H.E. João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, President of the Republic of Angola and the African Union Chairperson, a leading Champion of Peace and Security on the continent.
