The 24th Ordinary Session of the African Union Commission on International Law (AUCIL) commenced at the African Union (AU) Headquarters. This Session, spanning from May 6th -17th will consider and discuss a range of ongoing studies focused on the codification and progressive development of international law and AU law, as well as the domestication of AU legal instruments. Additionally, it will explore legal research on political, economic, and social issues in the African continent.

Africa is the only continent endowed with natural ingredients that can easily be used to greatly expand agricultural production. Africa has 60 percent of the world’s available arable land, the largest share globally, and suitable for agricultural production expansion, and abundant untapped water resources. Agriculture is the source of livelihood for 70 percent of the population on the continent.
