The Chairperson of the AU Commission H.E. @ymahmoudali held a productive meeting with H.E. Fahad Alhumaydani, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Ethiopia and the AU. They discussed strengthening the longstanding and excellent partnership between the AU and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Chairperson commended the Kingdom’s continued support for development and humanitarian efforts across the continent, as well as the successful convening of the Saudi-Africa Summit. H.E.

The Chairperson of the AU Commission @ymahmoudali received H.E. Fatima Maada Bio, the newly appointed President of the Organisation of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD), accompanied by Deputy President Mrs Ana Dias Lourenço, during a courtesy visit at the AUC headquarters.

The @_AfricanUnion Chairperson H.E. @ymahmoudali received H.E. Cindy Termorshuizen, Deputy Minister and Personal Representative of the Prime Minister of #Canada to the G7. They exchanged on AU–Canada partnership & cooperation. Discussions also focused on regional peace & security, sustainable funding for Africa's peacekeeping , & how best to align Canada’s G7 presidency priorities with the African Union’s strategic agenda, including advancing Africa’s voice and agency within global governance frameworks.

The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, has learned with deep sorrow of the passing of H.E. Amara Essy of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire.

On behalf of the African Union Commission and the entire African Union family, the Chairperson conveys his heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, as well as to the family and loved ones of the late H.E. Amara Essy.
