H.E President William Samoei Ruto (PhD), President of the Republic of Kenya and the African Union Champion on Institutional Reform. H.E. Ruto was appointed during the 37th Assembly of Heads of State and Government in February 2024 to champion the AU Institutional Reform process taking over from the H.E Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda who led the implementation of the reform process since 2016.

The Knowledge Management platform has been set up in response to the overwhelming request of the African Internet stakeholders especially during the 6th African and the Global Internet Governance Forums (IGF) held in December 2017 in Egypt and Switzerland respectively.
Addis Ababa, April 5th , 2018: The AU-EU-UN Task Force on the Stranded Migrants situation in Libya held the Eighth meeting of the Task Force on 29 March 2018 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The meeting was chaired by H.E. Madam Amira Elfadil, the Special Envoy of the Chairperson and Commissioner for Social Affairs and attended by the Head of the Anti-Illegal Immigration Authority of Libya. Addis Ababa, 4 April 2018: The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat, received yesterday the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport of the Togolese Republic, Mr. Ninsao Gnofam. The Minister delivered a message from President Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé, regarding the Single African Air Transport Market and the related decision of the January 2018 Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the Union appointing the latter as the Champion for this initiative.
