AUC Deputy Chairperson Erastus Mwencha met the Serbian Prime Minister, Ivica Dacic.

Belgrade, Serbia, 17 December 2013 – H.E. Mr. Erastus Mwencha, Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission, on Tuesday 17 December 2013, met with H.E. Ivica Dacic, Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia and held discussions that included issues of common concern.

The two parties have agreed to work together to identify areas of mutual interest and cooperation to further advance the deep-rooted ties of friendship between African countries and Serbia and to investigate areas where the two partners can constructively engage to help improve the lives of their peoples.

The areas of cooperation identified include notably Education; Science and Technology; Peace and Security; Infrastructure and Energy; Health and Agriculture.

The two sides have agreed to establish a Joint Committee tasked to work out the modalities of cooperation between both sides.
