African Union Commission organizes a capacity building workshop (as part of implementation of African Internet Exchange System project) aimed at building the business and technical capacity of selected Internet Service Providers (ISP) to become Regional Internet Carriers for Central Africa Region from 28 -30 September 2015 in Libreville, Gabon.

The three day workshop, facilitated by Progressus Corporation, discusses the following main topics:
 Detailed analysis of the regional interconnection policy
 How to leverage on the regional interconnection policy to competitively build across-the region
 Peering and interconnection economics for Internet carriers
 Identifying staffing requirements for regional internet carriers
 How to leverage on technological advancements to enhance regional internet carrier business strategy
 Identifying investment requirements for regional internet carriers (infrastructure and equipment)
 How to develop strategic partnerships for cross-border interconnection
