Opening statements will be made by H.E. Moussa Faki Mahamat, Chairperson of African Union Commission and H.E. Alpha Condé, President of the Republic of Guinea and Chairperson of the African Union.

The NEPAD Heads of State and Government Orientation Committee (HSGOC) provides leadership to the NEPAD process, sets policies, priorities and the programmes of action.
The 36th Session of the HSGOC will be chaired by H.E. Macky Sall, President of the Republic of Senegal and Chairperson of the HSGOC

Journalists are invited to cover the official opening ceremony and participate at the press briefing at the African Union Conference Centre during the closing session of the HSGOC.
