Ground Breaking and Unveiling Ceremony for of the Africa CDC Headquarters Building Project

WHAT: Ground breaking and Unveiling Ceremony to launch the start of the construction work of the Africa CDC Headquarters Building Project (Phase I). The program is jointly organized by the Commission and the Chinese Mission to the African Union, and will be attended by Senior Officials of the Commission, Member States, China and the host country.

H.E. Amira Elfadil Mohammed, Commissioner for Social Affairs.
H.E. Ambassador LIU Yuxi, Head of the Chinese Mission to the AU.

10:30 am: Invited Guests will arrive at the site
10:45 am: The Guest of Honor and other High Officials arrive at the project site
11 am: Protocol announces the official start of the ceremony with the introduction of activities of the day:
- H.E. the Minister of Commerce of China will speak via a video link from Beijing.
- H.E. Ambassador LIU Yuxi, Head of the Chinese Mission to the AU will address.
- H.E. Amira Elfadil Mohammed will make a short statement
11:20 am: H.E. the Commissioner for Social Affairs and the Ambassador of China to the AU will jointly hold the unveiling of the Model of the Building
11:30 am: VIP Guests and other Officials will proceed to the location for the Ground Breaking Ceremony to be held.
11: 40 am: Program for Group Photo at the background wall of the rostrum
12:00 am: End of the program
