São Tomé, São Tomé and Príncipe, 12th July 2016 – As the African Union recognises that protecting the integrity of the electoral process is fundamental to the consolidation of the democratisation process in Sao Tome and Principe a three-day orientation and briefing programme for observers from 12-14 July 2016 has kicked off on 12th July 2016.

Twenty Five (25) short-term election observers to the upcoming Presidential elections participated in the orientation programme.
