The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, received the British Ambassador to Ethiopia and the African Union, H.E. Mr. Darren Welch. They exchanged views on the continental developments, peace and security, and the strategic partnership between the African Union and the United Kingdom.

Ambassador Welch underscored the United Kingdom’s support for the primacy of the African Union in managing crises and conflicts on the continent. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continued cooperation in support of African-led solutions and shared peace and security objectives.
