Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – 29 September 2016: The Chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission, Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, sends her deepest condolences to the Government and people of Israel following the untimely passing of former Prime Minister and President, H.E. Shimon Peres. He passed away on 28 September at the age of 93 after suffering a stroke two weeks earlier.

The Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), HE Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma has decided to dispatch this Mission, to monitor and report on the electoral process.

Ms. Helena Airaksinen. The newly appointed Ambassador presented her credentials at the AU Headquarters, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on Wednesday, 28 September 2016.
