The 6th Pan-African Cultural Congress (AU/PACC6) took place in Moroni, the Union of Comoros, from 25 to 27 September 2024. In line with the African Union theme of the year for 2024, which is “Educate and Skill Africa for the 21st Century”, the congress was organised under the theme: "Arts, Culture, Heritage, and Education: Levers for Building the Africa We Want’’.

The African Union Commission led by the Women, Gender and Youth Directorate is convening the 9th Specialized Technical Committee on Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment (STC on GEWE). The STC will be held back to back with the Africa Review meeting on the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action (B+3 Review) and the Africa Pre-Consultation meeting on the 69th Session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69).
