Lusaka, Zambia, 20, September, 2019; For several decades, integration has been recognized as a critical component for the development of the African Continent. Article 3 of the Constitutive Act of the African Union (AU) sets out the key objectives, including, accelerating the political and socio-economic integration of the continent and promoting sustainable development at the economic, social and cultural levels as well as the integration of African economies.

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, 18 September 2019: The second edition of the Policy Dialogue on facilitating the implementation of the Programme for Infrastructure Development in Africa (PIDA) themed “Commitment of AU Member States for accelerated development of regional and continental infrastructure” will be held in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea from 24 to 26 September 2019.

Brazzaville, Congo, 5 September 2019: As the Programme for Infrastructure Development in Africa (PIDA) phase one gears towards closure, the second phase is set to include women and an integrated corridor approach in fostering a more meaningful and impactful regional integration, using infrastructure development in Africa.
