Addis Ababa, 10 December 2018 - On the occasion of the commemoration of the 70th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on 10 December 1948, the Chairperson of the Commission of the African Union, Moussa Faki Mahamat, calls on all the people of good will across the world to stand up for equality, justice and human dignity for all, irrespective of gender, creed, race or national origin.

On 13 November 2018, the Paris Peace Forum selected the AU-EU Youth Cooperation Hub for an award, among nine other winning projects, out of a total of 121 projects initially screened. This award will enable the Hub to benefit from expertise and visibility from the Paris Peace Forum Follow-Up Committee for the coming year.

December 07, 2018, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania - The commemoration of the 9th Africa Day for Food and Nutrition Security (ADFNS) was held December 5th, at which experts and policy makers called for sustaining and scaling up action towards promoting and implementing integrated food safety, nutrition and health strategies for achieving greater results and impact.

Addis Abéba, le 27 novembre 2018: À la suite du naufrage d’un bateau, le dimanche 25 novembre 2018, sur le Lac Victoria ayant causé la mort de plusieurs dizaines de personnes, le Président de la Commission de l’Union africaine, Moussa Faki Mahamat, présente ses condoléances les plus attristées au gouvernement ougandais et aux familles des victimes.
