Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, 26 April 2018: H.E. Mrs Minata Samate Cessouma, Commissioner for Political Affairs of the African Union Commission (AUC) and a cross-section of staff of the Department of Political Affairs (DPA) held a meeting with a Delegation from the Peoples’ Republic of China led by H.E. Mr. Yang Xiaodu, Director of the National Supervisory Commission, supported by H.E. Mr. Kuang Weilin, Chinese Ambassador to the African Union.

Stockholm, 17 April 2018: The Commissioner for Political Affairs of the African Union Commission (AUC), Amb. Minata Samate Cessouma meets with H. E. Mrs. Margot Wallström, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Sweden on the sideline of the 2018 Stockholm Forum on Gender Equality.

The Commissioner expressed gratitude to Mrs. Wallström for organizing this timely meeting and recognized the powerful role of the Swedish feminist movement at the helm of the women struggle for gender equality and women empowerment.

Addis Ababa, 27 April 2018: The Chairperson of the Commission of the African Union, Moussa Faki Mahamat, welcomes the convening, today, of the Summit meeting between President Moon Jae-in of the Republic of South Korea and Leader Kim Jong-un of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. He expresses the African Union’s full support to the Panmunjeom Declaration for Peace, Prosperity and Unification of the Korean Peninsula.

Nairobi, Kenya 23 April 2018 - The Joint Secretariat of the Regional Coordination Mechanism for Africa (RCM-Africa) held the Retreat of its Clusters of the RCM-Africa today in Nairobi, Kenya. The Retreat was held in view of the upcoming 19th Session of the RCM-Africa which will be held in Addis Ababa next month. The retreat focused on establishing a plan for the future of the RCM-Africa including its Program of Work and strengthened support to the AU’s priorities.
