Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, 23rd October 2017 – In line with Aspiration 3 of Agenda 2063, which aims at having a continent where there is respect for the rule of law, human rights, a consultative workshop gathering representatives of judiciary and traditional justice mechanisms in the Northern and Western Africa to discuss the issue of Rule of Law and Justice Reform kicked-off today. The workshop comes in at a timely moment as they remain a key stakeholder in the promotion of constitutionalism and rule of law.

Arrival of the Head of the African Union Election Observation Mission in Kenya

Nairobi, 23 October 2017 –H.E Mr.Thabo Mbeki, former President of the Republic of South Africa has arrived in Nairobi today, 23 October 2017. He is the Head of the African Union Election Observation Mission (AUEOM) to the Fresh Presidential Election in the Republic of Kenya, which are scheduled to take place on 26 October 2017. The AUEOM is in the country at the invitation of the Government of Kenya and the Independent Elections and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
