Dakar, Senegal 23 February 2018:- An AUC delegation, led by Dr. Rene N’Guetta Kouassi, Director of Economic Affairs of the African Union Commission attended the Technical Committee (TC) of the Association of African Central Banks (AACB) on 21-22 February 2018 in Dakar, Senegal in preparation for the First Ordinary meeting of the Bureau on 23 February 2018 also in Dakar.

The Pan African University for Life and Earth Sciences Institutes (PAULESI) awarded certificates to its "3rd Masters and 1st PhD Batches.

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, 23 February 2018- The African Union Commission launches its Second Open Call For Research Proposals under Phase II of the African Union Research Grants programme, with a deadline of 22nd May 2018 for submission of proposals.

The objectives of the Call are to:

§ support collaborative Research and Innovation (R&I) activities that address critical issues facing African countries and contribute to the sustainable development of African countries and the fight against poverty, while respecting ethical and gender issues;

Il y a cinq ans, ici-même au siège de l’Union africaine, onze pays, rejoints plus tard par deux autres, signaient l’Accord-cadre pour la Paix, la Sécurité et la Coopération pour la République démocratique du Congo et la Région des Grands Lacs. L’Union africaine, aux côtés des Nations unies, de la Conférence internationale sur la région des Grands Lacs et de la Communauté de développement de l’Afrique australe, se portait garante du respect des engagements pris.
