30 November-1st December, 2016 Accra, Ghana; Gathered under the Partnership Forum of African Union-Organization of African Trade Union Unity (AU-OATUU), Trade Union Organizations met in Accra, Ghana from 30 November-1st December 2016. The Partnership Forum has drawn participation of various labour organizations from the five regions of the continent under the umbrella of AU-OATUU, to situate themselves within the ongoing prosecution of the AU Agenda 2063 as well as other continental action plans including those on migration.

Akosombo, Ghana – 27 October 2016. The Citizens and Diaspora Directorate of the African Union Commission (CIDO), in partnership with the Encyclopaedia Africana Project Secretariat in Accra, Ghana, have completed a technical workshop aimed at revitalizing the implementation of the Encyclopaedia Africana within the framework of the First 10-Year Implementation Plan of the AU Agenda 2063.

Kampala, Uganda, 09 December 2016: The Department of Political Affairs (DPA) of the African Union Commission (AUC) commenced a Consultative Dialogue on a Cooperative Framework on Human Rights and Transitional Justice Mechanisms in Darfur. The Consultation is taking place in Kampala, Uganda with close cooperation with UNAMID Human Rights Section, The Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) and technical and financial support from the Centre for the Study of Violence and Reconciliation (CSVR).

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, 01 December, 2016: The African Union hosted the commemoration of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian people in collaboration with the Palestinian Embassy to the Federal Republic of Ethiopia, the United Nations and the League of Arab States. The event was held in the context of the 39th Anniversary of the Commemoration of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian people.
