The African Union Commission (AUC) through its Department of Trade and Industry organized the 3rd African Union (AU) Symposium on Special Economic Zones (SEZs) and Green Industrialization from 28th to 29th September 2020. The objective of the symposium was to provide a platform for SEZ, and green industrialization policy makers, practitioners, financial institutions, investors and academia, AU Member States and other countries with a focus on identifying good practices for SEZ planning, development and operationalization.

The Republic of Congo becomes the eighteenth AU member state that have signed the Treaty for the establishment of the African Medicine Agency (AMA) on 15 October 2020, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The AMA treaty was adopted by Heads of States and Government during their 32nd Ordinary Session of the Assembly on 11 February 2019 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Member States are able to sign the treaty at the Headquarters of the Commission in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
