Agenda 2063 is the blueprint and master plan for transforming Africa into the global powerhouse of the future. It is the strategic framework for delivering on Africa’s goal for inclusive and sustainable development and is a concrete manifestation of the pan-African drive for unity, self-determination, freedom, progress and collective prosperity pursued under Pan-Africanism and African Renaissance.

H.E President William Samoei Ruto (PhD), President of the Republic of Kenya and the African Union Champion on Institutional Reform. H.E. Ruto was appointed during the 37th Assembly of Heads of State and Government in February 2024 to champion the AU Institutional Reform process taking over from the H.E Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda who led the implementation of the reform process since 2016.

The 23rd Session of the Africa Working Group on Disaster Risk Reduction (AWGDRR) officially opened in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, bringing together policymakers, experts, and stakeholders from across the continent to accelerate Africa’s resilience agenda under the theme:
“Moving from commitments to action: delivering on the Windhoek Declaration and the Africa Common Position to the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction 2025.”
The African Union’s International Centre for Girls and Women’s Education in Africa (AU CIEFFA) has concluded a three-day field visit to Ghana from 10th to 12th November 2025. This mission formed part of AU CIEFFA’s ongoing monitoring and evaluation efforts for the #AfricaEducatesHer Campaign (#AEH), aimed at advancing girls’ education across the continent.

H.E. Amb. Selma Malika Haddadi, Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), and H.E. Amina Mohammed, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN) addressed participants as co-chairs of the Fifth AU-UN High Level Strategic Dialogue on Sustainable Development which took place on November 10, 2025, at the UN headquarters.
