Pretoria, 26 October 2016 - African editors and the African Union Commission (AUC) have concluded a successful two-day working session under the theme: Deepening Africa’s Narrative and Capacities to Deliver Agenda 2063 from which has laid down concrete steps towards the strengthening of relations between the media on the continent and the African Union.

African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM)
The African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) was established in 2003 by the New Partnership for Africa (NEPAD) Heads of State and Government Implementation Committee (HSGIC) as an instrument for monitoring performance in governance among Member States. The APRM is a self-monitoring instrument and its membership is voluntary.

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – 22 October 2016: The Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma sends her deepest condolences to the government and people of Cameroon, and particularly, to the families of those who lost their loved ones in the ghastly train accident, which occurred on Friday, 21 October 2016.

Istanbul, Turkey – 13th October, 2016: The AU Commissioner for Infrastructure and Energy, Dr. Elham M.A. Ibrahim, has been elected as the World Energy Council (WEC) Vice-Chair for Africa during the just concluded 23rd World Energy Congress organised by the Council in Istanbul, Turkey from 09 to 13 October, 2016. The Commissioner was nominated and elected by the council during the Executive Assembly Meeting on 09 October, 2016.
