Fellow Africans,
As in previous years, this November 25, we celebrate the International Day dedicated to the fight against all forms of gender-based violence, that is to say violence of which women and girls - who are also our mothers, our wives, our sisters and our children- are regularly subjected to.
In accordance with a well-established tradition, this commemoration will continue through a global awareness-raising campaign. It will last until December 10, 2021, another symbolic date dedicated to the celebration of human rights.
The 9th Humanitarian Symposium to review best practices and Africa’s solutions in addressing climate change in the humanitarian space
The African Union (AU) Humanitarian Symposium was initiated in 2010, as a forum that brings together the AU Commission, Member States and Partners to deliberate and exchange views on pertinent issues impacting on the humanitarian situation in the continent.
This year, the 9th Humanitarian Symposium is dedicated to the preparations for the 2022 Continental Humanitarian Summit to be convened in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.
