African Union Launches the Transitional Justice Policy

Sharm el Sheikh, 25 April 2019: The African Union Commission (AUC) launches the African Union Transitional Justice Policy (AUTJP) at the 64th Ordinary Session of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights. The policy was recently adopted by the Heads of State and Government at the 32nd Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the Union on 12 February 2019 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

African Union considers the World Malaria Day an opportunity to highlight the need for continued investment and sustained political commitment to malaria prevention and control, and, therefore, advocates for an increase in external and domestic funding for malaria elimination; and increased awareness and ownership at the community level.

Toutefois, ces élections interviennent dans un contexte marqué par une rupture du consensus sur lequel repose la démocratie béninoise et auquel la Cour Constitutionnelle a conféré une valeur constitutionnelle.
