African Union Headquarters; 27th November 2018: The African Union has strengthened its sanctions regime to ensure its 55 member states meet their financial obligations to the Union in time. In the just concluded Extraordinary summit on institutional reforms in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, the Assembly of Heads of State and Government adopted stringent measures for member states who do not meet their financial obligations in time.

Addis Ababa, 29th November 2018 : The African Union (AU) Commission and the United States of America convened the 6th annual High Level Dialogue at the African Union Headquarters, Addis Ababa. Led by the African Union Commission Deputy Chairperson Amb. Kwesi Quartey and the Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Tibor Nagy, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen African regional integration and enhance cooperation and synergy in advancing efforts towards stability and sustainable economic development in Africa, centered on mutual interest and shared values.

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – 21 November 2018. The Department of Trade and Industry of the African Union Commission is organizing the inaugural Africa Industrialisation Week (AIW) under the theme “Promoting Regional Value Chains in Africa: A Pathway for Accelerating Africa’s Structural Transformation, Industrialization and Pharmaceutical Production”. The event is being hosted in conjunction with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and other key stakeholders including a consortium of Development Cooperating Partners (DCPs).

Accra, Ghana:20th - 23rd November 2018: The African Union Commission (AUC), Partnership Division in collaboration with the Africa Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) an AU specialized technical agency, convened the 2nd Annual Conference of the African Union Partnerships Coordination & Interactive Platform (AU-PCIP) in Accra Ghana.
