The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, received in audience H.E. Mr. Abdullah Almusaibeeh, President of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA).
The meeting focused on strengthening the partnership between the African Union Commission and BADEA, particularly in the health and social sectors. The Chairperson acknowledged the longstanding support provided by Arab institutions to Africa’s development agenda.

Discussions focused on peace and security issues across the continent, including the situation in the Horn of Africa, the implementation of the peace agreement in eastern DRC following the signing of the ceasefire framework, and funding mechanisms for the African Union Support Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM). to discuss

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – 15 July 2025 – The African Road Safety Observatory (ARSO) Secretariat successfully hosted its inaugural webinar on Safety Performance Indicators (SPIs) on 14 July 2025, marking a significant step toward advancing the continent’s road safety goals under the Second Decade of African Action Plan for Road Safety (2021–2030).

At the High Level Event on “A Sustainable Ocean Economy,” co-organised by APRM & the OECD at the AU Permanent Observer Mission offices in New York this afternoon, AUC Deputy Chairperson H.E Amb. Selma Malika Haddadi reaffirmed the AU’s commitment to ocean health as a cornerstone of Agenda 2063 & SDGs. She underscored the urgent need for policy & institutional coherence to address pollution, overfishing & climate threats.
