As African leaders gather for the 38th African Union (AU) Summit, the call for a visa-free continent has taken center stage. The AUC and the African Development Bank (AfDB) have jointly urged African governments to accelerate the removal of visa restrictions that continue to hinder regional integration, trade, and economic development.

On the margins of the 38th African Union Summit, the African Union Commission (AUC), in collaboration with the Government of Mauritania and UNICEF, will convene a High-Level Political Dialogue on Sustainable Financing Mechanisms as a Lever for Quality Education and Skills Development in Africa in the 21st Century.

The event to be held on the margins of the 37^th AU Ordinary Summit at 0800hrs EAT at the African Union Headquarters, underscores Africa’s commitment to enhancing the continent’s financial sovereignty and addressing long-standing challenges associated with the three international credit rating agencies.
