H.E. @ymahmoudali, the Chairperson of the AU Commission met with H.E. Mr. Waleed El Khereiji, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the sidelines of the Arab League in Baghdad, for fruitful discussions on enhancing the Kingdom’s partnership and support to the African Union’s efforts in promoting peace, development, and regional integration.

The Chairperson of the @_AfricanUnion Commission H.E. @ymahmoudali had the district opportunity to address the 34th Ordinary Session of the Summit of the Arab League that took place in Baghdad today.

Mr Youssouf called for regional and international cooperation to end the crisis in Sudan, and Libya, and stabilisation efforts in Somalia.

The Chairperson of the AU Commission H.E. @ymahmoudali & his accompanying delegation were received by H.E. President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, the President of Iraq at Al-Salam Palace this afternoon during the Chairperson's visit to attend the 34th Arab League Summit Baghdad. The meeting focused on advancing Iraq - Africa relations & exploring opportunities for strategic cooperation with the AU Commission.

On the margins of the 34th Arab League Summit in Baghdad, H.E. @ymahmoudali, Chairperson of the AU Commission, held a productive meeting with H.E. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States.

They discussed strengthening AUC–Arab League strategic partnership in the areas of development, & diplomacy. The Chairperson briefed on the AU’s ongoing efforts to promote political dialogue in Sudan & Libya, & support to stabilisation in Somalia.

The African Union Commission invites applications from African women entrepreneurs to participate in the African Women in Processing (AWIP) Forum. This strategic event will be held on the sidelines of the Fourth Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF2025) in Algiers, Algeria, from 4th to 10th September 2025.

This forum presents a unique opportunity for African women actively engaged in value-added processing to showcase their businesses in Africa’s largest trade fair, which highlights the importance of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
