H.E President William Samoei Ruto (PhD), President of the Republic of Kenya and the African Union Champion on Institutional Reform. H.E. Ruto was appointed during the 37th Assembly of Heads of State and Government in February 2024 to champion the AU Institutional Reform process taking over from the H.E Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda who led the implementation of the reform process since 2016.

What: Release of Statement of Preliminary Findings and Conclusions of the African Union Election Observation Mission (AUEOM) to the 2019 Presidential Election in the Republic of Guinea Bissau.
The African Union Commission (AU) announces the arrival of an Election Observation Mission, for the 24 November 2019 Presidential election in the Republic of Guinea Bissau. At the invitation of the Government of Guinea Bissau, the President of the AU Commission, His Excellency Moussa Faki Mahamat decided to deploy this Mission to asses and report on the conduct of this election.
