Agenda 2063 is the blueprint and master plan for transforming Africa into the global powerhouse of the future. H.E President William Samoei Ruto (PhD), President of the Republic of Kenya and the African Union Champion on Institutional Reform. H.E. Ruto was appointed during the 37th Assembly of Heads of State and Government in February 2024 to champion the AU Institutional Reform process taking over from the H.E Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda who led the implementation of the reform process since 2016.

Mbabane, Swaziland – 30 August 2016: The Chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission, Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, has expressed sincere gratitude to Heads of State and Government of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) for supporting her as Chairperson and for their cooperation with the AU Commission during her mandate.
Addis Ababa, 30 August 2016: On the 30th August, H.E Dr Martial De Paul Ikounga received a high level Japanese Delegation at the AUC Headquarters in Addis Ababa. The meeting was a courtesy call by the Japan – AU Parliamentary Friendship Association led by H.E Ichiro Aisawa, the Chairman of the Association. The main objective of the meeting was to follow up on the recently concluded TICAD IV outcomes.

Antananarivo, Madagascar– 29 August 2016: The African Union Commission (AUC) is hosting the Ninth Pan African Meeting of Directors of Veterinary Vaccine Laboratories, which kicked off on 29th August 2016, in Antananarivo, Madagascar. The main objective of the three day workshop is to review the reports from African Union Member States’ vaccine production laboratories, on the status of vaccine production on the continent, achievements and limitations so far.
