The 41st Ordinary Session of the Executive Council adopted the African Common Position on Energy Access and Just Transition, on the 15^th of July 2022,

2022 marks the 60th anniversary of the Pan-African Women’s Organisation (PAWO), PAWO is Africa’s first collective women’s organization, which has contributed to the struggle for the continent’s liberation from colonialism, the elimination of apartheid and the eradication of gender inequalities, discrimination and injustices against women.

The President of Uganda, H.E. Yoweri Museveni has committed to reaching over 1 million young people in Uganda annually with opportunities to accelerate the African Union Commission’s vision of reaching 300 million young people by 2030 under the 1 Million Next Level initiative.

The Deputy Chairperson of the African Union, H.E. Monique Nsanzabaganwa, opened the Boma of Africa event on 8^th July 2022 to crown the activities marking this year’s Africa Integration Day.
