December 07, 2018, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania - The commemoration of the 9th Africa Day for Food and Nutrition Security (ADFNS) was held December 5th, at which experts and policy makers called for sustaining and scaling up action towards promoting and implementing integrated food safety, nutrition and health strategies for achieving greater results and impact.

Katowice, Poland, 3 December 2018 – The opening day of COP24 Leader’s Summit was marked by the celebration of Africa Day held under the theme "The Africa Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) Hub: Going further and faster with NDC implementation in support of Agenda 2063".

Africa Day is a joint initiative of the African Development Bank (AfDB), the African Union Commission (AUC), the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UN-ECA) and the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD).
