Antananarivo, Madagascar– 29 August 2016: The African Union Commission (AUC) is hosting the Ninth Pan African Meeting of Directors of Veterinary Vaccine Laboratories, which kicked off on 29th August 2016, in Antananarivo, Madagascar. The main objective of the three day workshop is to review the reports from African Union Member States’ vaccine production laboratories, on the status of vaccine production on the continent, achievements and limitations so far.

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – 29 August 2016: The Chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission, Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, has congratulated the people of the Republic of Gabon for voting peacefully during the single round Presidential Election that held on 27 August 2016, and urges the candidates, political stakeholders and the public to respect the results once they are announced by the Independent Electoral Commission, 30 August 2016.

Nairobi, Kenya - 26 August 2016: The Ministerial Meeting of the Sixth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD-VI) commenced today at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre in Nairobi, Kenya.

H.E. Ambassador Amina Mohamed, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kenya and Cabinet Secretary, during her welcoming remarks appreciated the relentless work put in by the senior officials to facilitate and ease the work of the Ministers by preparing the draft Nairobi declaration and implementation plan over the past two days.
