Online Accreditation for Journalists is Now Available
The Directorate of Information and Communication (DIC) of the African Union announces that the online accreditation process for the coverage of the 28th African Union (AU) Summit, scheduled for 22 to 31 January 2017 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia has been launched on the AU website: www.au.int
AUC signs MOU with Book of African Records for The African Factbook project
17 December 2016- The African Union Commission, led by Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, and the Book of African Records, have signed an MoU for the research and production of a publication titled The African Factbook. The agreement was signed at the AU headquarters in Addis Ababa on 8 December by Mrs Leslie Richer, the AUC Director for Information and Communication and Ambassador Kwame Muzawazi, the founder and editor-in-chief of the Book of African Records.

Twenty- Eighth Ordinary Session of the Summit of the African Union expected to elect a new Chairperson for the AU Commission
Addis Ababa, 15th December, 2016- The African Union summit holds January every year at the African Union headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. From the 22nd to the 31st of January 2017 January 2017, the Union will hold its 28th Ordinary session under the theme ‘harnessing the demographic dividend through investments in the youth’.
The summit will feature three main sessions:
