Le Président de la Commission de l’Union africaine, Son Excellence Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, a appris avec une profonde tristesse le tragique glissement de terrain survenu le 31 août dans la localité de Tarasin, dans l’État du Darfour-Nord, qui aurait coûté la vie à plus de 1 000 personnes.
Le Président de la Commission adresse ses condoléances les plus sincères aux familles endeuillées et exprime sa profonde compassion à l’ensemble du peuple soudanais frappé par ce drame. Ses pensées vont également à l’unique rescapé, dont la survie est porteuse de respect et d’espérance.
