THE SECOND ORDINARY SESSION OF THE AFRICAN UNION
SPECIALIZED TECHNICAL COMMITTEE ON TRANSPORT, TRANSCONTINENTAL AND INTERREGIONAL INFRASTRUCTURE, ENERGY AND TOURISM (STC-TTIET),
14 - 18 APRIL 2019
CAIRO, EGYPT

The Specialized Technical Committee (STC) is the Ministerial Decision-Making Organ of the African Union for the Transport, Energy, Tourism Sectors as well as overall Infrastructure Development matters.

The African Union, in collaboration with the African Development Bank, the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa and the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD), is organizing the second meeting of the African Union (AU) Specialized Technical Committee (STC-TTIIET) on Transport, Transcontinental and Interregional Infrastructure, Energy and Tourism which is scheduled to hold in Cairo, Egypt from 14-18 April 2019.

The official confirmation of the dates by the host country is expected soon.

The main objectives of the second session will be, first and foremost, to evaluate implementation of the updated STC Plans of Action adopted in Lomé, Togo, in March 2017 as well as address the challenges and, finally, agree on the way forward.

Expected participants will include Ministers and experts from the AU Member States who are responsible for the following sectors: Transport, Energy, Tourism and Infrastructure as well as Representatives of Regional Economic Communities, African Union (AU) Specialised Institutions, International Organizations, development partners, private sector and civil society dealing with Energy, Transport and Tourism.
