It is the strategic framework for delivering on Africa’s goal for inclusive and sustainable development and is a concrete manifestation of the pan-African drive for unity, self-determination, freedom, progress and collective prosperity pursued under Pan-Africanism and African Renaissance.

H.E President William Samoei Ruto (PhD), President of the Republic of Kenya and the African Union Champion on Institutional Reform. H.E. Ruto was appointed during the 37th Assembly of Heads of State and Government in February 2024 to champion the AU Institutional Reform process taking over from the H.E Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda who led the implementation of the reform process since 2016.

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia 16-17 April 2018: The Ministerial segment of the 2nd AU Specialized Technical Committee (STC) on Finance, Monetary Affairs, Economic Planning and Integration opened in Addis-Ababa on Monday 16 April 2018. The meeting was preceded by Expert Meetings from 12-14 April, 2018.

The 2nd African Union Specialized Technical Committee on Finance, Monetary Affairs, Economic Planning and Integration will be at the African Union Commission (AUC) Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from 12-17 April 2018 with the Ministerial component taken place from 15-17 April 2018.
The Commission is organizing the Third Session of the Specialized Technical Committee (STC) on Finance, Monetary Affairs, Economic Planning and Integration as per Decision Assembly/AU/Dec.227(XII), reconfiguring the Specialized Technical Committees (STCs) and Decision Assembly/AU/Dec.365(XVII) requesting the Commission to operationalize the STCs form January 2013 and to abolish sectoral Ministerial Conferences.
