Ambassadors present Letters of Credence to AUC Chairperson

Addis Ababa, 17 May, 2013: Two newly appointed Ambassadors presented today their letters of Credence to the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma. H.E. Ms.Susan Sikaneta, and H.E. Mrs. Fatoumata Kaba Sidibe, respectively Ambassadors of the Republics of Zambia and Guineaare the new Permanent Representatives to the African Union and the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.

Receiving each of them in turn, the Chairperson congratulated them upon their appointment, and welcomed them to the African Union. She promised them her utmost support to properly represent their respective countries. The Ambassadors, on their part also congratulated the Chairperson on her appointment at the helm of the AU Commission, and pledged to work collaboratively to strengthen the cooperation with the African Union.

Ambassador Susan Sikaneta assumes her new responsibilities after serving as Zambia’s High Commissioner to India. She replaced Ambassador Francis PiloZaza Simenda who served in the same position for about a year. On her part, Ambassador Fatoumata Kaba Sidibe replaced H.E. Cheick A. T. Camara who served in the same position for over five years.
