PRESS CONFERENCE
The Pan African University Council will convene in an extra ordinary session from Thursday, 22nd October to Friday, 23rd October 2015, at the AUC Headquarters in Addis Ababa. The meeting will discuss among other things, issues bordering on the relocation of the PAU Rectorate, the operationalization of the fifth PAU Institute – for Space Sciences, in South Africa; long term academic staff recruitment; and amendments to the PAU Statute, to strengthen the University’s standards of academic freedom, autonomy and excellence.
At the end of the Council meeting, the President of the PAU Council, Professor Tolly S. Mbwette, will hold a press conference on Friday, 23rd October 2015, in Small Conference Room 4 at 1:00pm.
