Participants:
The workshop will bring together all practitioners in the AU and experts in the industry. Participants will be drawn from the AU Headquarters, AU Organs, Specialized agencies, peace keeping missions, Regional Economic Communities and AU Development Partners.

Background:
The element of Supply Chain is seen as key in supporting the African Union (AU)
towards achieving the key goals and aspirations of Agenda 2063. The AU has the ambition to further enhance its effectiveness and efficiency to constantly adjust its operations to the evolving needs of the African citizens and drive the Continent’s integration and the institutional reform process, a prerequisite for organization capacity and systems enhancement, which is required to support it. Given the ever growing changes at continental and global levels, the AU Procurement Travel and Stores Division must keep up the pace by exploring newer and innovative ways of doing business. Embracing a modernised approach includes greater focus on value for money, doing more market research and alignment with the worldwide advances in public procurement, Travel and Asset management practice and enhanced effectiveness and efficiency to constantly adjust its operations to the evolving needs of the African citizens and drive the Continent’s integration and the institutional transformation process. In pursuit of this aim, it is envisaged that this workshop will bring together all practitioners in the AU and some re-known brains in the industry to share their minds on Supply chain issues. PTSD structurally is situated under the Administration and Human Resources Directorate which is overseen by the Office of the Deputy Chairperson of the African Union.
